This WWII Walther P38 Black Leather Softshell Holster is in near excellent lightly used condition WWII production black finished leather holster for the standard issue Walther P-38 pistol in 9mm. It is nicely maker-marked under the flap with bdr 44, for 1944 manufacture by by Richard Ehrhardt of Pößneck in Thüringen, a known holster producer during the war. To the right of the marking is a faint Waffenamt WaA86 stamp, the correct inspector for this maker, also written is the name "Reed". This example is not marked with an embossed "P.38" on the back, which happens. This heavy leather example has tight stitching, supple leather, ghost impressions in the leather form a long sitting P-38. Over-all a nice late war Holster.
