Rare Ancient Chinese Jade Spear Point

A Chinese carved jade votive spear point of the Western Zhou period (c. 10th - 7th century BC). The handle of hollow form and pierced throughout with various decorative motifs, as well as surface engraving. The juncture of the blade with the handle carved with ox heads. The blade constructed with a well-defined medial ridge. The tip is broken. The remainder is very sound and complete. A less than common piece in the USA. Complete and original.
