Sealed Packet Maynard Priming Tape Civil War Ammo Model 1855
This is an original sealed package of Maynard priming tape for the Springfield Model 1855. Invented by Dr. Edward Maynard the thin strip of priming tape allowed for the easy priming of muskets that had been equipped with the tape priming systems that allowed for automatic priming. The roll is intact with some edge flaking and mild staining. This will make for an excellent display item to show with a rifle.
