WW1 Era British Military Binoculars With Unit Markings
This is an original, 1911-dated pair of No. 3 Mk. 1, 6x binoculars with original leather wraps and about 85-90% of the original black enamel finish on the lens housings. The optics are cloudy but still serviceable and a unit designation is engraved on one of the Broad Arrow-marked objective plates: "R.H.G.", while "41" is engraved on the other. This refers to the Royal Horse Guards (who still exist today as "The Blues and Royals", following their amalgamation with the 1st Dragoons after WW2). This is a fine piece of British Great War memorabilia, and would make a splendid addition to any collection.
