Army & Navy Co-Operative Society Limited Rook Rifle Case 360 No.5
This is a late 19th century wood, leather and canvas gun case . The exterior of the base is in poor condition with missing paces and loose stitching. The cover has a patch that has been painted over where normally the owners name would be. The interior has a red felt lining that show great age. In the many compartments you find the buttstock tie down is intact and working. The inside cover has a label "Army & Navy Co-Operative Society Limited" Westminster S.W.. On this label is hand written "Ammunition 360 No. 5" and that would be for a Rook rifle. The case looks like it would also fit a double rifle. This comes with bits and pieces including the original oil jar. Dimensions are 30" long, 7 1/2" wide and 3" deep. A neat project.
