Rare Japanese M1897 Type 30/38/99 Arisaka Rifle Bayonet Jinsen

This is an early to mid WWII built M1897 Type 30/38/99 Arisaka Rifle Bayonet. This particular M1897 was built by Jinsen Arsenal (Korea) and has an unsharpened, except for the first 9 inches, near perfect tip, 15 9/16” blade with deep fuller, mottled spotting, light oxidation and most of the original finish. The spine and edge are unaltered with a Jinsen makers mark stamp at the ricasso. The guard, pommel and quillon have none of the original finish, if they had any to start. The wooden, very good condition grips are held by two pins and has a nice patina. These grips do wrap around the bottom but not the top as they do on late models. The pommel has some oxidation and is stamped with a serial number I can not read and 25. This is paired with an excellent condition steel scabbard with almost all of the original finish intact, a coating of surface oxidation with a few small scratches in the body. This comes complete with a very interesting leather frog which has a hardly seen pattern and is in excellent condition. This is a scarce edition of the Type 30 bayonet from the Jinsen Arsenal (Korea).
