Child Sized Busby Grenadier Guards Victorian Era Hat

This is a very interesting child sized bear fur Busby with a Victorian era Grenadier Guards hat badge of high quality. The whole example is of excellence quality, all stitching done by hand with cloth and satin linings. I found no makers marks inside. The badge has the regiment's motto "Honi soit qui mal y pense", this is Old French and translates as "shame on him who thinks ill of it". The hat is rounded out with a nice chinstrap marked on the clasp "CORO". One of the links has come apart and needs a permanent fix. Fully opened the hat measures about 7" side to side with all other proportion being correct for a child's head.
