Civil War 1862 Dated U.S. Percussion Cap Pouch by LONGLEY & Co. LEWISTON, Maine
This is a Civil War U.S. percussion cap box with supple leather and minimal crazing. The inner flap is embossed with the maker’s mark “LONGLEY & Co. LEWISTON, ME 1862.” The belt loops are strong, and the interior still retains the wire nipple pick. Only the lamb’s wool liner is absent. There is some verdigris on the brass components. Hard to find a nicer example of a Civil War Percussion Cap Pouch
