US WWI M1917 Bolo Knife/Scabbard Fayette R. Plumb Co. 1918
This is a US WWI M1917 Bolo Knife/Scabbard. This example was manufactured by the Fayette R. Plumb Co., St. Louis, MO, in 1918. The blade is in very good+ condition with most of the original finish intact, very nice edge and correct point. The guard has signs of wear on edges but nice finish elsewhere. The handle has a dark patina with few imperfection, has a M carved into one scale. The very good to excellent condition Brauer Bros. 1917 D.M marked scabbard has nice stitching and few stains with fully functioning hardware.
