Spanish-American War, U.S. Army Model 1878 Canteen Unit Marked

This is an excellent condition Spanish-American War, U.S. Army Model 1878 canteen with unit markings. This is an early triangle strap keepers model. The cork stopper is still in very good condition with the intact brass chain still intact and connected. The canvas cover that remains in excellent condition, tight stitching, no rips with clear "U.S." marked on one side and "F over Crossed Rifle over 1 over 63" unit markings. The canvas has some age soiling. Excellent unit marked M1878 canteen.
