Early WWII Front-Seam Fixed Bale M1 Helmet

This is a very nice example of an original WWII Front-Seam Fixed Bale M1 Helmet made by McCord Radiator, with a Westinghouse liner. This helmet is very early war 1941- early 42 made. This is a correct McCord front seam, production number is obscured with an excellent later painted interior, right angle fixed bale, OD straps with brass hardware correct chin strap with a light presence of oxidation on the surface interior. The inside of the helmet has the name "Lovell B" and and something else that cannot be made out. The outside of the helmet is covered with camouflage netting held on by athletic tape and also has writing. The Westinghouse plastic liner is complete and matching, this liner was manufactured between 1961- 69 and I believe this made made in 1964 (The M1 Helmet: Mark A Reynosa 1996) This liner has been painted and has writing on the exterior as follows "Toomeys Terrible Mean Machine".
