Rare Austrian Model 1916 WW2 German Army Helmet Post-1934 Double Decals

This WW1 era helmet has the M.1931 liner system and retains 95-97% of the original apfelgrun (apple-green) paint with some very minor wear and flaking present, mostly along the edges of the neck flare.  The Army (Heer) eagle decal on the left side of the helmet dome is in excellent shape with only a single noticeable area of wear on the lower right of the shield.  The national tricolor decal on the right side is in fine-near excellent shape, but does exhibit slightly more wear than the eagle decal.  The interior of the dome is stamped with a "U" at the top, with large ink-stamped "57" liner size stamp, and white "65" shell size at the rear just below the liner frame.  The liner itself has an intact metal frame with intact size "57" leather suspension web.  The web is slightly dried, but still fully serviceable.  The leather chinstrap is also present, but has broken over time.  This is a remarkably well-preserved early, transitional, Third Reich military helmet, and would make a fantastic piece for display.
