WW2 British No. 4 Mk. 1* Rifle by Savage-Stevens with Post-war Ordnance Stores Tags
Serial #77C0306, .303 British, 25" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a "US PROPERTY" marked rifle that has matching numbers on the bolt, magazine, and forend. The metal retains practically all of the black Suncorite finish, with a few very minor flakes present at the muzzle, as well as on the bearing surfaces of the bolt. An unobtrusive import stamp is present on the left side of the receiver. The buttstock, forend, and handguards are in excellent condition with only some negligible handling marks marring the otherwise pristine varnish. A 1981-dated Donnington Depot inventory tag is tied to the trigger guard, and a second, serial numbered tag is tied to the front sight protectors. This is a handsome Savage No. 4, and is in excellent, virtually unissued condition overall. FFL or C&R
