WW2 Era Imperial Japanese Naval Dirk

This is a handsome dirk that measures 13 1/4" overall, with a 9" straight, single-edged blade having narrow single fullers.  This is a very nice dirk that has an overall mottled gray patina on the blade and a plain brass habaki.  The guard has short, reversed quillons, and a white same grip with intact wire wrap.  The scabbard has formed brass throat and chape, with a lightly crazed, but intact brown leather wrap along the body.  This is a very nice example of a rather hard to come by WW2 naval dirk, and is in very good condition overall.
