WWII British No. 36M MK I “Mills Bomb” Inert 1943
This is an original WWII British No. 36M MK I “Mills Bomb” hand grenade. This is a shellac-coated "Mesopotamian" variant (No. 36M MkI) designed to keep moisture and humidity out of the detonator's fuse and was the British army's standard hand-grenade from the 1930s to 1972. This example is in excellent condition with its shellac covered brozne-brown body with original green and red paint. The base plug is marked No. 36M MK I with white painted striker lever, M marked steel body, centerpiece is marked with a broad arrow and 1943. The spring is strong and all parts are included.
