WWII Fairbairn-Sykes Third Pattern British Commando Knife and Sheath Unmarked

This is a WWII Fairbairn-Sykes Third Pattern British Commando Knife with war Sheath. The blade is machined and retains most of the original finish with light surface oxidation and no nicks with a nice tip. This knife was carried and used as seen from the blade and use of the sheath. The guard is not stamped ENGLAND for import and has light oxidation. The brass handle is a #3 casting with a correct nut, a touch of the finish is missing on the handle. The sheath is leather is in very good condition with 4 tabs, elastic broke. This example is round at the end of the chape with some oxidation. Blade length 6 7/8" with OAL of 11 3/8". Over-all and nice example of a classic knife.
