WWII Fairbairn-Sykes Third Pattern British Commando Knife with Sheath

This is a WWII Fairbairn-Sykes Third Pattern British Commando Knife with Sheath. The blade is machined and retains all of the original finish and no nicks with a nice tip. This knife was carried and used as seen from the use of the sheath. The guard is stamped ENGLAND as is the sheath. The brass handle is a #1 casting with a correct nut, a touch of the finish is missing on high spots on the handle. The sheath is leather and is in poor condition with 4 tabs, elastic broke. This example is square at the end of the chape with some oxidation. Blade length 6 7/8" with OAL of 11 3/8". Over-all a very nice example of a classic knife.
