Frankford Arsenal 45-70 Tinned Ammo Dated Dec.13, 1888 Partially Sealed
This is a full box, 20 original rounds, of .45-70 ammunition manufactured by the Frankford Arsenal with a stamped date on the box of Dec. 13, 1888 and a corresponding head stamp of “F 12 88” on the tinned cases. The original Arsenal box remains partially sealed with a corner flap opened to reveal two of the rounds with tape residue from old tape that wrapped around the box. A scarce box that would pair well with a Trapdoor rifle.
